2ND ANNUAL ART AUCTION

The Perry County Opera House and Cultural Arts Center (PCOHACAC) will hold their Second Annual Artist Recognition and Art Auction at Ludowici Celadon on May 3rd beginning with a social hour with hors d’ouevres and music by Mike Boley at 6:30 PM. Joe Schultheis (guest speaker) will speak on “The Ludowici Process” followed by the recognition of this season’s 2nd Sunday Artists and two business and one citizen awards. The main event of the evening will be the art auction, a major fundraiser for the organization featuring the donated artwork from this year’s artists and others. Some of the artists to date include: John Kiss (photography), Chad Wilkins (photography), Amy Beck Cody, Ron Beck, Dave Kunkler (jewelry), Dorothy Wood, Ruth Wilson, Jerrod Nash (pottery), Tammy Sullivan, Mike Boley, Mauve Boley, Tom Wolfe, Steve and Steve Aerial Photography, Matt Padgett, Leslie Cope, Ron Mills, Patricia Pacino (quilt), Nikki Enright, Glenn Belluscio, and Flutasia (CD). Some featured items include Erickson Glassware, a tile containing real gold and a WW II cookie jar donated by Ludowici. Coffee prints of the old municipal building by artist Jeff Roberts and t-shirts designed by Mike Boley will be available for purchase.
Any artist wishing to donate an item may drop it off at Ogden Insurance in New Lexington. Tickets (available at Ogden Insurance) are limited and we are expecting to sell out. PCOHACAC is a nonprofit 501 3(c) organization which promotes cultural arts in Perry County.
