RE:   Perry County Cultural Arts Center
5th Annual Artist Recognition and Art Auction
Date:  4/29/16

The Perry County Cultural Arts Center (pcohacac.org) will hold their Annual Artist Recognition and Art Auction (formerly held at Ludowici) this Friday, May 6th with dinner, awards, entertainment, and silent auction beginning at 6:00 PM in the downstairs of the Calvary Arts Center (former Calvary Methodist Church) located at 447 S. Main St., New Lexington.  Reservations for the dinner/awards portion of the evening are $15.00 and are due today by calling Ogden Insurance at 740-342-3163.

Enjoy a Baked Ziti dinner and be entertained by Mike Lollo.  Featured items in the silent auction include a piece of glassware made of recycled items, an antique pitcher, and Vintage framed pictures of PC landmarks.  This year’s honorees include:  The Perry County Tribune, Atty. Steve Schnittke, and Mike Boley along with the winners of the recent Student Art Show and fall ACT TOO production.

Following the dinner we will move upstairs at 7:30 PM where auctioneer Joe Ogden will kick-off the PUBLIC art auction.  The public is invited to come and bid on artwork by local artists. Artwork by Caitlin Sjostrand, Rachel Baughman, Jeff Buck, Dave Kunkler, Mike Boley, Mary Jane Pugh, Ron Mills, Ken Stalter, Jeff Roberts, and the late Tom Wolfe and Leslie Cope to name a few will be featured in the live auction. There will also be a framed OSU picture and a Beatles print.  All proceeds benefit the purchase of the Calvary Arts Center and its arts programming.

As a nonprofit 501(c)3 we try to support cultural arts in Perry County.  This year we will auction off several Nellie Sheridan items which will benefit the Nellie Sheridan statue fund.

New this year, we will be auctioning off talent.  We have invited several local politicians to entertain you.  If you want to hear them sing, see them dance, or whatever; you must bid on them.  We are sure you’ll be impressed by their “hidden” talents.

If you missed getting tickets for the dinner, please join us for the live auction at 7:30 PM and take home a gift for Mom.  If you are a local artist and would like to donate an item(s) for the auction, please drop off your donation at Ogden’s Insurance in New Lexington.
