On Oct. 23 and 24, the newly formed drama club for seniors age 55 and older, ACT TOO, will present their first production entitled Attack at the Pierre Fontaine. The show will be presented at the new Calvary Arts Center at 447 S. Main St., New Lexington at 7:00 PM. Cost is $5.00 and tickets will be sold at the door. Part of the proceeds will go to the Senior Citizen’s Center.
In this hilarious 45 minute comedy, a group of senior citizens who reside at the Pierre Fontaine Apartments in New York City have decided to meet for the purpose of making a plan in case of another attack. It is the winter of 2003. Iris (Martha Pickenpaugh) has invited her friends Dierdre (Betsy Martin), Allison (Sara Hoover), and Tony (Roger Dusenberry) over to vote on a plan. Provisions soon arrive from a Soldier (Dave Kiener) but the plan is foiled when Iris’s daughter, Liz (Rita Ervin) arrives.
This show is part of the Perry County Opera House and Cultural Arts Center (PCOHACAC) fall line-up. Please put the date on your social calendar and help benefit the senior center.
If you would like to join the group and/or help with the production, please contact Betsy Martin at 740-342-4312.
