The Perry County Calvary Arts Center in New Lexington hosted seven "free" arts workshops: acrylic painting, musical drumming, recyclable art, dance, musical theater, Ukulele, and silversmithing due to a grant from the Foundation of Appalachia. Tammy Appleman of NLCS coordinated the free lunches. A special thanks to instructors: Sabrina Ponting, Kathy Murdock, Kellie Ford, Dave Kunkler, Rebecca Brick, roger Dusenberry, Meagan Mason, Maeve Boley, and Elliot Boley plus student helpers: Evie Swick, Hollis Brick, and Arleigh Gibson.
This Sunday, August 6th, at 2:00 PM, they will showcase their work at the Calvary Arts Center located at 447 S. Main St., New Lexington. They will also hold a silent auction.
