Headline: PCOHACAC PRESENTS PUPPETEER
On Nov. 9th from 1-3 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church across from the post office in New Lexington, the Perry County Opera House and Cultural Arts Center (PCOHACAC) will present Dayton Willison a Professional Actor, Puppeteer, Costume Designer and Director from the southeastern Ohio area. Most recently, he directed Mary Todd. He has worked professionally all around the state and is the Puppet Caretaker at the Ohio Valley Museum of Discovery in Athens, OH. He has been the Children's Program Manager at the Tecumseh Theater in Shawnee, OH for the past two years building children's theatrical programming. Dayton has taught workshops about puppets to students from kindergarten to college. He built the Dragon Puppet for Columbus Children's theater production of "Shrek: The Musical" as well as operated it. In Actor’s Theater Production of" A Midsummer Night’s Dream", he played Puck with the help of a puppet as well and was nominated for the Theater Round Table Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2012. He has also performed at the London Palladium in London, England in a production of Hair.
Mr. Willison will present a puppet show followed by a workshop where children ages 1st through 6th grades will pair up to make puppets.
PCOHACAC is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit whose goal is to provide cultural events in Perry County. This event is a “free” event for children grades 1-6.
